The weekend is here with some fun family happenings in Glen Rose. Make it a good one, and TGIF!
1. National Day of the Cowboy Celebration
Enjoy a day filled with family fun at the National Day of the Cowboy Celebration taking place from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday in the Historic Glen Rose Square. The event is free to attend and open to the public, and will feature a parade, gun fighters, demonstrations, musicians and vendors. For more information call 254-897-3081.
2. Bird Walk
Learn about birds at Dinosaur Valley State Park’s Bird Walk kicking off at 9 a.m. Saturday at the park store. Those attending are welcome to bring binoculars and a bird guide and listen to birds with a park ranger as you walk around the center of the park. 3. Movies in the Park
Round up the family and head to Oakdale Park for a showing of the 1942 drama/mystery movie High Noon starting at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
