Attending the GRHS football game on Friday, Sept., 7 will be the Homecoming King and Queen of 2008.
Hunter Harris was the 2008 King and here is what he has been up to since graduation.
After graduating high school, Hunter joined the United States Marine Corps Infantry division. He served four years and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. In 2013, Hunter married Danielle Harris, formerly, Danielle Sullivan.
After leaving the Marine Corps, Hunter moved back to Texas and began working at the power plant as a security officer.
In 2016, Hunter and Danielle welcomed their baby girl, Emery, into the world. Hunter's fondest memory of being a GR Tiger is when the football team his senior year went to the State Quarter Finals. Hunter is excited and proud that his own daughter is a future Glen Rose Tiger.
Coming home Queen of 2008 is Samantha Watson Crabtree and here is what she has been up to.
After graduating high school, Crabtree went on to college and received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from West Texas A&M. While in college she played three years of collegiate softball.
After graduating college Crabtree went on to obtain her degree in dental hygiene from Tarrant County College. In hygiene school she excelled, graduating in the top of her class and was named the class president.
Soon after graduating from hygiene school she met her husband, Paul Crabtree. In October 2016 they got married at the First Baptist Church in Glen Rose. Samantha worked at Polished Family Dental in Glen Rose for three years.
Recently, Samantha and her husband Paul have relocated to East Texas and she is working as the lead hygienist at a dental office in Lindale.
“Glen Rose is a town of many precious memories to me and I hope to one day make it back home to my roots,” said Crabtree.
