The Glen Rose City Council voted Monday to offer the permanent position of city administrator to interim Michael Leamons.
Contract negotiations are pending.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity and I have the sincere desire to advance the best interest of the citizens and serve the elected officials,” said Leamons.
The city administrator position was vacated by Chester Nolen on May 11 after Nolen and the council agreed to terminate his contract. Nolen had signed a new one-year contract in February.
Leamons, who was named as Oakdale Park's manager in January 2017, said he will continue to manage the park and city administrator positions while details are worked out in his contract.
