This month’s business spotlight is Training Ground Studios owned and operated by Tiffany Mullins located at County Road 2008.

TGS is a dance studio and has been in business for almost six years.

Mullins has been in the performing arts business for 32 years and started dance training at 10.

Although she retired at 40, God had different plans.

Tiffany and her husband Eric moved here from the Metroplex 12 years ago and they have three children Austin, Madison, and Ashlyn.

“Our family enjoys many benefits that Glen Rose has to offer. We are blessed to be able to have our children grow up in a small town that is so unique,” said Mullins.

TGS' mission is based on Romans 12:2, the transforming and renewing of the mind and body.

“I seek to give each student a joyful place to receive quality instruction while sharing a piece of our passion honoring the Lord in whatever we do. We love training them up in the way they should go by instilling a hard work ethic to merge with His excellence,” said Mullins.

When you first enter the studio their mascots, a dog Ms. Pickles and cat, Mr. Tiger, greet you. There is seating on the porch where you can drink tea or coffee.

The receptionist, who is Mullins’ mother Jody, greets you with a warm smile and helps her daughter with office work and keeping up with her busy schedule.

The studio is alive with dance, music and positive art and music. It really is a place for the renewing of the mind and all the dancers have big smiles on their faces as they twirl and leap around the room.

Leslie Pair’s daughter Jill is a student at TGS and loves going to class.

“Jill looks forward to dance class every week and loves Ms. Tiffany, “ she said.

The studio offers classes for ages two and up.

Classes offered include tumbling, hip-hop, contemporary dance, jazz, tap, ballet/pointe, and baton.

“I love that I am giving back to my community in offering local dance classes that provide a variety of dance and if someone wants to take it to the next level, I know they had a good training foundation here,” said Mullins.

Mullins has a dance class just for a worship team called Rhythms of Grace. They have been invited by multiple churches and other worship events to lead worship with dancing.

In fact, several of the students will be showcasing their routines from last season’s Revive and Renew show as the pre-show for The Promise on Friday, Nov. 2

“This event is going to be our first performance as the ‘TGS Crew’ and we are looking forward to sharing our talents not only with our community but also spreading the joy of Jesus and honoring God with our gifts,” said Mullins.
