EL PASO, Texas (AP) — El Paso police say a Fort Bliss soldier has been arrested in connection with a stabbing attack that killed a woman and wounded two other soldiers.
The El Paso Times reports that 22-year-old Army Spc. Torian A. Davis was arrested Wednesday on murder and aggravated assault charges. He's being held in the El Paso County Jail on a $1.1 million bond.
Police haven't released the name of the 25-year-old woman who was killed.
Police say the stabbings occurred Saturday at an apartment in northeast El Paso where Davis, 21-year-old Spc. Anthony Velasco and the woman were drinking and doing drugs.
Police say Davis allegedly began the stabbing attack "without any provocation." Police say he then allegedly attacked 23-year-old 1st Lt. Jared Abes outside the apartment complex.
A Fort Bliss spokesman confirmed that Davis is stationed at the military base.
