DALLAS (AP) — Tornado warnings have been issued for parts of North Texas in an emergency weather situation covering one of the state's most populated areas.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday for sections of Dallas, Tarrant and Denton counties. Forecasters say an earlier tornado warning, covering the Fort Worth area, expired at 1:45 p.m.
Dark storm clouds hovered in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area, where census figures put the combined population above 7.5 million.
