Shelby Slawson, candidate for state representative of District 59, is embarking on a whirlwind tour that will take her to eight events in eight counties in eight hours on Saturday, Feb. 15.
“Starting first thing in the morning in Somervell County and ending the day in Erath County, our ‘Takin’ Back Texas 59 Tour’ will bring our courageous conservative message of securing the border, cutting taxes, defending the Second Amendment, protecting innocent life and supporting our rural schools right to the people,” Slawson said. “For many months we’ve worked hard to meet directly with our folks, uniting around our shared values. This tour is another step in engaging and bringing people together in our deeply red heart of Texas.”
Slawson will be making a tour stop in Glen Rose at 8:45 a.m. at the Big Cup Eatery.
She will also visit Comanche, Coryell, Hamilton, McCulloch, Mills, San Saba and Somervell counties.
“Everywhere I go throughout House District 59, voters tell me they’re looking for authentic, bold conservative representation in the Texas House and are frustrated and disappointed with years and years of not having leadership on the issues that matter most to them,” Slawson said. “We can do so much better. It’s time for change and time to take back this district. I look forward to meeting our hard-working Texans on the tour—come join us.”
