Glen Rose High School has released the names of the senior students who are scheduled to graduate in the top 10 percent of the Class of 2020.

There are a total of 125 seniors who are set to graduate in the ceremonies that are scheduled for May 22, at Tiger Stadium on Stadium Drive in Glen Rose across the street from the high school (see related article). The starting time is set for 8:15 p.m.

“All of these students are extremely hard working and responsible young men and women,” GRHS Principal Kelly Shackelford said. “They’ve proven themselves, both in and out of the classroom, to be excellent future leaders and will undoubtedly be very successful in whatever career path they choose. I’m very proud of all of them.”

Leading the top 10 percent are this year’s valedictorian, Andrew (Drew) Dunson, and salutatorian, Joel Mendoza.

“Both Drew and Joel are extremely bright, driven, and talented young men,” Shackelford stated. “I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know them and having the opportunity to watch them for the past four years participate in a variety of school activities. They are a big part of why GRISD continues to have a reputation for being one of the best school districts in the State of Texas.”
