Morgan ISD students from kindergarten to second grade wrote outgoing president George W. Bush a good-bye letter on November 11, 2008.

They invited him to come visit the school on his way to Crawford and that they hoped he had a good time during his eight years in office.

On December 12, 2008, the president wrote them a letter back.

The letter thanked the students for writing and supporting him. He encouraged the children to study hard in school and to never doubt they can make a difference in the lives of those around them.

While Bush didnít commit to visiting the school, he did send a picture of him and his dog, Barney.
