Toby Dillon Haynes, 24, of Glen Rose was arrested last week for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle in connection with the August 2010 collision that killed an 84-year-old Granbury woman.

Toxicology tests performed on Haynes by the Texas Department of Public Safety revealed that he had several drugs in his system.

Haynes remains in jail. Bond has been set at $100,000.

The case will go to the grand jury that convenes in early April.

The accident occurred on Highway 144 several miles north of the U.S. 67 intersection and just south of the Hood County line.

The woman who was killed, Bhanmattie Singh, was a passenger in a car driven by her daughter. Singh was severely injured in the two-vehicle accident and transported by CareFlite to a Fort Worth hospital, where she later died. Her daughter, Yetrawtee (Yetra) Pillay Mock, 64, also of Granbury, was injured in the accident.

Haynes also was injured was taken to Glen Rose Medical Center by Air Evac helicopter, where he was treated and released.

Both cars sustained major damage in the accident.
