Glen Rose ISD is making sure no student goes hungry this summer even though the schools are closed until August.
Along with its summer school offerings for students, the local school district will provide meals as part of its first-ever summer foodservice program, said GRISD Child Nutrition Coordinator C.J. Brown.
Students of the district will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch at Glen Rose Intermediate’s cafeteria, Monday through Friday, now until July 3.
Meal prices will follow the same payment plans as those during the school year, said Brown. If a parent would like to complete a free or reduced lunch application, they may apply at the Glen Rose ISD Administration Building.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each week day.
