Sandra Ramsay on Friday became the third person to file to run for a seat on Glen Rose's City Council.
Ramsay, an accountant and member of the Glen Rose Economic Development Corp., plans to run for the rest of Barbara Mitchell's term. After Mitchell resigned last October, Tom Osborn was appointed by the council to fill the seat until the May 14 election.
It's not yet known whether Osborn will run for the council seat or for mayor.
So far incumbent Councilman Bob Stricklin has filed to run again and county museum curator Jean King has filed to run for mayor.
The deadline to file is Monday at 5 p.m. Candidates often wait until close to the deadline.
Several seats on the Glen Rose Independent School District board also are up for election in May. Incumbent Andy Snow so far has filed to run again.
Please check the Reporter's Web site Monday after the filing deadline for a complete update on candidates for city councll and GRISD board of trustees.
