The Randy Rogers Band, a local country music group from Cleburne, will debut on the Late Show with David Letterman Wednesday, Jan 14.

The five-piece band has been gaining momentum over the last few years and released a self-titled debut CD in September 2008.

The band includes Randy Rogers as vocalist and on guitar, Les Lawless on drums, Brady Black on fiddle, Jon Richardson on bass and Geoffrey Hill on guitar.

They were featured in Texas Music magazine and highlighted by USA Today.

The band has been on a whirlwind tour, crisscrossing the country for several months. But on Wednesday, the group will make a stop in New York City and will bring a taste of Texas to the Big Apple.

Area fans of the Randy Rogers Band will have a chance to catch the group back in Texas in Longview on Jan. 22, followed by five additional shows in different Texas cities.

They will also come back home to play in the Larry Joe Taylor Music Fest in Stephenville on April 23.
