The Glen Rose Independent School District (GRISD) will hold a special called meeting and a regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, in the Administration Building.
The special meeting will be held first and conducted in closed session to evaluate Superintendent Wayne Rotan and his contract.
The board will then reconvene in open session to possibly take action on items discussed in closed session.
Several students will be recognized during the regular meeting, set to begin at 7 p.m.
Academic All-State student athletes and All-State football players will be recognized.
The music and athletic departments will also give campus reports.
Action items for the regular meeting include the consideration of an interlocal agreement with the City of Glen Rose for a joint election; consideration of an interlocal agreement with Somervell County, allowing the school to use electronic voting equipment.
The board will also consider a TEA application for an expedited waiver for additional staff development days.
Local District Update 84 will also be considered.
The board will reconvene into closed session to consider the purchase of real estate property and consult with their attorney regarding pending litigation involving Joelle Ogletree.
They will meet again in open court to take action on those items.
