A Walnut Springs woman was stabbed by her husband Monday afternoon.
A report by the Bosque County Sheriff’s department stated that at approximately 12:44 p.m. on July 7, a woman had been stabbed in her abdomen. She told the deputies that her husband, 50-year-old Ronnie Otis Linley, was the assailant.
Linley had already fled the scene and drove himself to the Somervell County Sheriff’s department to turn himself in.
Bosque County Sgt. David Pack arrested Linley at the Somervell office. Linley was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held in the Bosque County jail on a $100,000 bond.
Linley’s wife was transported to Goodall Witcher Hospital and was later careflighted to Hillcrest Hospital.
Her condition was not available at press time.
