RUSK, TX - America’s favorite legend brings law and order to Texas at the Texas State Railroad again in June. This special event will take place June 13 at the Texas State Railroad Rusk Depot. During the one-hour ride, The Lone Ranger and his faithful companion Tonto will save the train from outlaws who intend to rob the baggage car that is carrying a shipment of gold!
With one jaunty call, “Hi-Yo, Silver!,” The Lone Ranger, a Classic Media trademark, sparked a cultural phenomenon that would establish him as America’s favorite hero of the Wild West. Mounted atop a white stallion, he became a steadfast symbol for truth and justice, capturing the hearts and imaginations of generations of fans. For more than seven decades, The Lone Ranger has been the star of more than 3,000 radio shows, 220 classic TV episodes, three feature films, and hundreds of comic books. The Lone Ranger celebrated his 75th anniversary in 2008.
Come meet the masked rider and Tonto and experience a full day of fun! There will be an array of cowboy and western activities at the depot for people of all ages. Enjoy live musical entertainment, western themed activities, original episodes of The Lone Ranger playing in the theatre, and more!
The adventure begins Sat., June 13 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.
