Deck the towns with boughs of holly, 'tis the season to be jolly.

Glen Rose is more beautiful than ever, thanks to volunteers spreading Christmas cheer and putting up decorations galore.

The Glen Rose Downtown Association, Chamber of Commerce, Garden Club and other organizations and individuals have covered every corner, light post, flower bed and door with something special.

Saturday was full of fun. The Happy Hill Academy and the McClellan Family singers performed under the gazebo on the square. First United Methodist Church filled its Family Life Center with all sorts of baked goods and gifts for sale and its sanctuary with more than 60 nativities from all over the world for its "Come to the Stable" event. And Santa and Mrs. Claus heard Christmas wishes from children and posed for photos in front of the historic Somervell County Courthouse.

Saturday evening's lighted Christmas Parade was the best in recent memory, and children and parents lined up to see Santa Claus at Christmas in the Park. Volunteers served hot apple cider and cookies.

If you couldn't be at all the events, we covered them for you. Here are some photos that captured the beauty and excitement.
