Plein air artist Dina Gregory thrives on the challenge of capturing

nature with pastels.

“Ninety-five percent of my work is created outdoors. I love working outside with the sun, wind and the smells,” says Dina.

Her favorite local places to paint are the Paluxy River along with her own Bosque County acreage. Dina can be found capturing scenes as far away as Big Bend, Palo Duro Canyon and Enchanted Rock.

Pastels give her the freedom to work quickly and to express the feeling of the moment. Dina enjoys capturing this fleeting moment and the connection it poses between God, man and nature.

She received her bachelor’s of fine arts degree from the University of North Texas. Her paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States, and her work has won numerous awards. Dina is pictured with her painting “Chihuahuan Desert Winter Rain,” which has been juried into the Bosque Conservatory Art Classic September 2008.

Dina and her husband Brian live in Eulogy. The artist will conduct a two-day workshop at the Barnard’s Mill Art Museum Nov. 15 - 16. For more information, contact Joyce Selby at 254-897-3081.
