Glen Rose Medical Center has brought "values coach" and leadership guru Joe Tye to Glen Rose where he will speak to the community Monday night.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Somervell County Expo Center. It is free to anyone who would like to attend.

The topic of his presentation is “Never Fear, Never Quit.”

The leader’s responsibility it to “assure that fear is channeled into appropriate directions and then that is confronted with a courageous commitment to action,” Tye writes in his book.

Tye holds a masters degree in hospital administration from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

He is the author or co-author of 12 books, including his most recent All Hands on Deck: 8 Essential Lessons for Building a Culture of Ownership.

Tye will be in Glen through Tuesday to speak to the Hospital Authority Board, GRMC department directors and employees on building a “culture of ownership” and elements and strategies for accomplishing that goal.
