Two Glen Rose businesses suffered losses last week after being burglarized in two separate incidents.

The MK Corral Restaurant and Saloon was burglarized sometime between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 22 and 5 a.m. Jan. 23.

Somervell County Sheriff Greg Doyle said entry was gained through a back door.

The thieves made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Oakdale Park was also broken into last week.

Employees reported that the building was last secured on Jan. 28, but on the morning of Jan. 29 they discovered two cash registers had been stolen.

Sheriff Doyle said entry was gained through a door. Only one of the registers has been recovered.

The police report states that the registers were valued at approximately $600 with $200 in missing cash.

A window was also damaged during the burglary.

Anyone with information about these or any other crimes are encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department at 897-2242.
