An area business leader whose focus is on agriculture will address a chamber crowd Thursday.

The Glen Rose Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly luncheon at Still Water Lodge with Brandon Groom serving as guest speaker.

Groom is an assistant vice president of credit services for AgTexas Farm Credit Services in Stephenville, where he lends money for agricultural purposes.

He is also in the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership (TALL) program through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, which creates a cadre of Texas leaders to help ensure effective understanding and encourage positive action on key issues, theories, policies and economics that will advance the agriculture industry.

Groom grew up assisting in his family's cow/calf and hay operations. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University majoring in agricultural economic. He also served five years in the United States Marine Corps.

The luncheon will begin at 12 p.m. Thursday at Still Water Retreat Center.
