Special to The Reporter

The aroma of frying fish, hushpuppies and fresh potatoes filled the Walnut Springs Community Center Saturday night as a big crowd turned out to support Business Youth in Agriculture. The event raised funds to help FFA and 4-H students to buy cows, pigs, rabbits and other animals to show in Clifton. Linda Hargrove (left) and Shawn Marie Herring helped dish out the 90 pounds of catfish fried in big cauldrons by master catfish chef Rickey Koonsman (above, right). Proceeds from the auction, raffle and T-shirt sale also will benefit the ag students.
