Alpha Delta Beta (ADB), Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi hosted their April meeting at the home of Shirley Reinke. Hostesses were Tammy Dooley, Sharon Schultz and Shirley Reinke. The theme of the meeting was “Pretty in Pink.” An official group picture was taken outside by Dr. Michael Davis who played double duty as he was the guest speaker for the evening. Dr. Davis presented a program on Women and Heart Disease.
The official meeting was called to order by President Cynthia Moates and committee reports were presented. Discussion was held on the upcoming Social trip to Fredricksburg.
Updates were given on the service projects underway and discussion was held on the applicants for the sorority scholarships to be awarded in May.
Discussion on Founder’s Day followed that will be Tuesday, April 28, at The Storiebook Café. Additionally a report was given on members who are eligible for new degree promotions. Ceremonies will follow at the May meeting.
Incoming President Schultz, presented the new slate of officers for the 2009-2010 year, which are: President Schultz, Vice President Cynthia Joyner-Marshall, Treasurer Sharon Patton, Recording Secretary Debbie Davis, Corresponding Secretary Melodie Isham, Extension Officer Julie Locke, Scrapbooker and Photographer Peggy Lytle.
New officers will be installed at the May meeting at Joyner-Marshall’s home.
