A big “Thank You” to Mary Baker for serving as tournament judge.

Last week we took a group of 20 seniors to see Bye Bye Love at the Granbury Opera House.  Everyone had a great time.  We are planning to see Christmas In New York on Sunday, Dec. 13, meeting at the Citizen’s Center at 1:30 p.m.  We need at least 20 people to receive the discounted tickets of $10.  Tickets have to be purchased prior to the show and may or may not be refunded depending on the number we have going.

Activities at the Citizen’s Center beginning Nov. 30:  “42”, puzzles and quilting on Monday; ceramics, utility assistance, Treadway hearing screening and needlework on Tuesday; “42” tournament and Clark Cole on Wednesday; TOPS, David’s grocery shopping and Agri Life on Thursday; bingo with Wanda, quilting and Brookshire’s’ grocery shopping on Friday.

Barbara Milner from Texas Neighborhood Services will be at the Citizen’s Center on Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to help the public with utility assistance.

The Citizen’s Center will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27 for the Thanksgiving Holidays.

We would like to invite all Somervell County Senior Citizens and their spouses to our 10th annual Trust Fund Christmas Party.  It will be on Friday, Dec. 11 and doors open at 6 p.m.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.  There will be a meal, door prizes, entertainment, Santa will visit and lots of fun.  We ask that you reserve by calling the Citizen’s Center at 254-897-2139 or you may come by and sign the reservation list.

We desperately need volunteers to help out in several different areas at the Citizen’s Center.  They include our volunteer driver program, leading activities, etc.

Don’t forget to refer to our Web site at  for menus, activities, articles, links to other sites and lots of pictures.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Pat Harris.
