On Saturday, July 19, the Post Oak Cemetery Association will unveil a state historical marker for the Post Oak Community. Dedication will be at 2 p.m. at the Cost Oak Cemetery and the public is invited to join the celebration.
“Gifted Together”, a social group for mentally and physically challenged adults, is forming in Gatesville. The first meeting is set for Saturday, July 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Gatesville, located at 206 S. 7th St. The group will meet on the third Saturday of each month and is open to all mentally and physically challenged persons 18 years old and older who live in the Central Texas area. Glen Rose Head Start Class is recruiting for 2008-09. To enroll, children must be 3 years old by Sept. 1. When applying for the program, you will need: Medicaid card or insurance copy, child’s birth certificate and current immunization records, family must meet income guidelines to qualify and be able to provide proof of income (last three check subs, income tax return, etc.).
