2008 Threads of Texas Quilt Show sponsored by Town ‘N Country Quilt Guild will be Oct. 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Valley Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center in Stephenville. Come see 100 quilt show entries; visit a variety of vendor booths, and be inspired.

The annual meeting of the Lanham Mill Cemetery Association will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Somervell County Courthose Annex. The business session will be followed by the drawing og the winning ticket for the annual raffle.

The Band Booster Club will have a meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, in the Library.

Daughters of the Republic of Texas Comanche Peak Chapter will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Somervell County Heritage Center in Glen Rose.
