We were glad to have Don and Sue Wiggins from Granbury, and Don’s sister Patsy Singer from Glen Rose to visit us last week.

Loveda Swaim and Grady May won the Valentine King and Queen contest. Mary Voss and Royce Stacy won the contest for who was wearing the most red. Congrats to the winners.

The “42” tournament winners on Feb. 18 were 1st place Billie and Eddie Flanary; 2nd place Floyd Flanary and Dortha Beck; 3rd place Cora Harkins and Clark Stewart; 4th place Dorothy Jo Osborn and Royce Stacy. The other teams competing were Tom Swaim and Grady May; Veda Gosdin and Nancy Moore; Billie Jean Pickins and Mary Pruett; Roy Mercer and James Kelley; Pat Thompson and Jeff Parker; Janelle Gartrell and Alice Lance.

Free AARP Tax Help! The AARP Tax-Aide team of certified volunteer counselors will be available at the Glen Rose Senior Center every Monday to assist tax-payers of all ages with their income tax preparation. E-filing is available at no charge, as well as direct deposit of the taxpayers refund. The counselors will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Monday.

Activities at the Center beginning March 2: AARP tax aide on Monday; needlework, ceramics, hearing screening and Tops on Tuesday; “42” tournament and foot clinic on Wednesday; Tops, energy assistance and David’s grocery shopping on Thursday; bingo with Lori, quilting and Brookshire’s grocery shopping on Friday.
