We had a wonderful turnout for our annual Trust Fund Christmas party. Judy and the kitchen staff served a full barbecue dinner and we enjoyed music and dancing, thanks to Steve and Christi Carrasco.

Winners of last week’s Bunco tournament were Marcy Capell with the most Buncos, Zula Hunter with the most wins and Ann Parham with the most losses. Royce and Janet Stacy, John and Phyllis Psencik, Carole Kofke, Roy and Rosemary Cooper, Roger Jordan, Patsy Thompson, Betty Flanagan, Jay and Norma Wright, Karena Eccles and Louise McCoy also participated in the tournament.

Remember to come by the Center to pick up activity calendars and lunch menus unless you have asked us to mail them to you. We are no longer mailing them without a request.

The center will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Have a safe and happy holiday and join us back at the center on Wednesday, Dec. 26.

The center will also be closed New Years Day, Tuesday, Jan. 1.

The next Friday night dance will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 28, featuring Michael Cote. There is a $5 fee admission at the door.

Following Christmas closure, activities at the Citizen’s Center beginning Dec. 26, include Bunco tournament and health screening by Interim Home Health on Wednesday; chess and David’s shopping on Thursday; and Bingo, Brookshire's shopping and night dance featuring Michael Cote on Friday.

In addition to the scheduled activities, there are games, puzzles, quilting, Forty-Two and visiting going on every day.

If you know anyone in need of meals, transportation, an emergency response system, medical equipment, food stamp, Medicaid or food bank or utility assistance applications or any other senior citizen oriented services, call or come by the center.
