George's Creek Baptist Church in Somervell County will host its 40th annual homecoming beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.
The church began in 1885. This year marks the 105nd anniversary of the church reorganization in 1905.
Activities for the day include Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship at 10:50 a.m., a covered dish luncheon after worship and old-fashioned gospel singing from 2 to 4 p.m.
Rev. Jack C. Hunnicutt, retired Presbyterian minister, will be the guest speaker for the worship service. Special music for worship and afternoon singing will be by Cecil Pollock and the Sounds of Redemption Quartet.
Everyone is cordially invited to attend any or all of the day's activities. The church is located on County Road 308 about 1.3 miles north of U.S. Highway 67, east of Glen Rose and west of Cleburne.
