The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls wrapped up their season in November with a special doubleheader mash-up held at Lone Star Arena. Fans were introduced to coed roller derby in bout one, Cowboy Capital Junior Roller Derby at intermission and got the chance to see their favorite Rollergirls duke it out for bragging rights in bout two.

Proceeds from this event benefited the Erath County Child Welfare Board and Rainbow Room. The visiting skaters that evening from other area leagues helped the Cowboy Capital Rollergirls collect much-needed diapers and wipes for the Rainbow Room. The Rollergirls were able to give a $500 donation from the proceeds plus all the diapers and wipes collected after the event.

The Cowboy Capital Rollergirls season donations totaled nearly $10,000 this year.

"We are thrilled with how much our league was able to give back to the community this season," said league President Laurie Phipps. "We get to help our community by playing a sport we love. It's a win-win for everyone!"
