The 28th Annual Lone Star State Dulcimer Festival starts its four-day run at Oakdale Park.
The Up Against the Wall Theater downtown on the side of the Chamber of Commerce building will show the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” at 8:30 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, popcorn and drinks. The event is free.

Voting in special election for Republican candidates for state senate, at the Somervell County Courthouse annex, and voting for the school bond election and City Council election at Town Hall. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Youth Fish Day from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Squaw Creek Park. Lunch will be served afterward.

The local Boy Scouts from Troop 725 will be raising money to help pay for summer camp by selling tickets to their spring barbecue. Tickets are $7.50 and will be sold by the Scouts in front of Brookshire’s, David’s, and Sonic this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The barbecue will take place at the Somervell County Citizens Center on Saturday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.
