Somervell County Ministerís Fellowship would like to invite the Glen Rose community to the Easter sunrise service to be held at Glen Lake Methodist Camp on Easter Sunday.

The service will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the amphitheater (service will be held indoors in case of rain).

Community ministers will lead the service with Brad Reedy, pastor of Rainbow Baptist Church, bringing the morning message.† The Community Chorus, under the direction of Jylyce Staples, will bring special music.† An offering will be taken during the service to help with local benevolence needs.

An Easter sunrise service also will be held at a Bosque County ranch by Memorial United Methodist Church in Walnut Springs. The traditional service will begin with a hayride on a trailer to a high hill with a rugged cross and a view of the sunrise. In case of rain or muddy conditions, the service will be moved to the church on State Highway 144 in Walnut Springs.

Anyone who would like to attend should meet at the barn nearest the Farm Road 203 entrance to the W.K. Gordon Ranch at 6:30 a.m. A snack will be served at the church afterward. Bible study follows at 10 a.m. and the regular Easter service begins at 11 a.m.†

TxDOT to hold public meeting

The Texas Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26, in the Stephenville City Hall Council Chambers, located at 298 W. Washington St. in Stephenville. The meeting concerns the Erath and Somervell county portions of the 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program, a staged program of projects proposed for funding by federal and state sources during the next four years. Public officials and interested citizens are invited to comment. Written comments should be presented in person or by mail to the Texas Department of Transportation, Attention: Judith J.
