Southside Baptist Church is hosting weekend women’s retreat on January 23 and 24. The retreat will take place from 5-9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30-1 p.m. Saturday.

Women of all ages are invited to come together to pray and seek a fresh understanding of God’s love.

The theme for the retreat will be taken from Psalms 199:76 which says, “May Your unfailing love be my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant.”

The featured worship and Bible study leader is Teresa Harmening from Addielou, Texas. She is a songwriter and serves as pianist and worship leader at Leesville Baptist Church.

Terry McNew will lead a session entitled “A new you-Beauty from the inside out”. This session will tell you what you have in common with a grapefruit. Nancy Hamm will lead “How your personality can reflect God’s unfailing love” which teaches participants their personality strengths and how to best use them. Brenda Davis will lead “Sharing God’s unfailing love.” This session will provide women with encouragement and insight from scripture on the source of love and how you need to share it with others.

Free nursery care will be provided to children ages 0-5 and a full children’s program will be provided for children ages 6-13. Free meals will be provided for the children as well.

On Friday night, women will experience dinner, music and model show. A brunch will be had on Saturday. Cost for the retreat is $15 and can be paid at the door. Women can register by calling Southside Baptist Church at (817) 573-1462. If you have any other questions, please call Paluxy Baptist Association at (817) 579-5111.
