The Rockin Diamond S Farms owned by Tammy and Charlie Stephens of Walnut Springs will donate one breeding from a choice of three Quarterhorse stallions to this Saturday’s auction benefiting Kenneth Roberts.

Roberts, a longtime employee of Richard Trotter Construction in Walnut Springs, is battling cancer. A fund has been opened on his behalf at First National Bank of Bosque County.

The event at the Community Center in Walnut Springs kicks off at 4 p.m. with music, followed by a barbecue dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the auction at 6:30 p.m.

The horses offered for breeding are Four Dolce Poke, a 2000 Blue Roan stallion; Ideal Pepto, a 2003 Palomino stallion; and CP Sugar Drifter, a 2003 Perlino stallion. Mares must have negative coggins and be current on all vaccinations prior to breeding.

A cakewalk and raffle also will be held and door prizes awarded.

Admission is $10, including dinner, $5 for children ages 6 through 12 and free for children ages 5 and under.
