The Lone Star Iris Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church of Hico.

Guest speaker Peggy Cathey will present a a program - “Daylilies – Their Forms, Color Patterns and Culture”.

Cathey will share photos and descriptions of the 21 recognized flower forms, the 11 most common color patterns and daylily culture including planting, fertilizing and dividing.  

Cathey and her husband, Dan Cathey, reside in Covington and have been growing daylilies and irises for a number of years and are both accredited judges for The American Hemerocallis Society, Inc. Cathey is also an accredited judge for the American Iris Society.
