There will be flu shots given at the Citizen’s Center on Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You will need a copy of your Medicare card with you.

We would like to thank Billy Huckaby from the Glen Rose Convention & Visitors Bureau, Ymke Condy and Lynn Guthrie from the Paluxy Pedal Committee for using the SCCOA at the Citizen’s Center to cater the spaghetti supper the night before the big ride. It turned out to be a very good fundraiser for us plus it was nice to meet the riders.

The SCCOA is trying to take on more catering jobs to help meet their budget needs. If there are any groups or organizations in need of this service please call 254-897-2139 and ask for Pam.

Rosie Mimms’ Queen Contest and Talent Show was a big hit last Saturday. We would like to thank Rosie Mimms, contestants, ushers, judges, volunteers, staff and each and every person who worked on this project. It was a great fundraiser for the SCCOA and turned out to be a lot of fun for everyone involved. If Rosie is willing we will make this a yearly event.
