The District 8 4-H Food Challenge was held Dec. 3,  at the Bell County Expo in Belton.

The two Junior-Intermediate teams representing Somervell County both placed in the competition.

The Gumdrop Divas placed fourth in the Main Dish category and also won the Team Spirit Award. Team members include Brandi Black, Kenzie Campos, Lindsay Hartman, Sami Hood and Abby Johnson. They are coached by Tamra Black.

The Cooking Cuties also placed fourth, in the Breads and Cereals category. Team members are Jeana Douglas, Kendall Douglas, Chyanne Mausser, Anna Quinlan and Emma Turner. They are coached by Mina Douglas.
