Excited students and parents crowded into the Barnard’s Mill and Art Museum Saturday to see the drawings and paintings produced by their children and friends in the Glen Rose Independent School District. Sixteen students won ribbons and checks.
In the elementary school division, winners were: First place, Kanyon Keese; second place, Davis Dempsey; third place, Andrew Molina; and honorable mention, Ashton Smith.
In the intermediate school division, winners were: First place, Kaley Shaw; second place, Hailey Jimenez; third place, Kerah McConal; and honorable mention, Gage Williams.
In the junior high school division, winners were: First place, Hayden Swearengin; second place, Kalli Crabtree; third place, Kason Brewer; and honorable mention, Derek Kramer.
In the high school division, winners were: First place, Audrey Boccafogli; second place, Jana Horn; third place, Andrea Allen; and honorable mention, Casey Cummins.
Winners in the elementary and intermediate divisions received prizes of $50 for first place, $25 for second place and $15 for third place. Winners in the junior high school and high school divisions received $75 for first place, $50 for second and $25 for third.
Attendees at the show received slips of paper to vote for the “People’s Choice Award,” a $75 prize and ribbon that will be awarded in late May at a school board meeting.
