Properties overseen by Somervell County could welcome new management in the near future.
On Tuesday, commissioners will meet to consider giving approval to the Hospital Authority to sublease Glen Rose Nursing Home.
Last week, nursing home Administrator Mo Sheldon confirmed that there is a party that is "definitely interested in leasing" the facility.
"There have been ongoing discussions about the lease for some time," Sheldon said. "At least for a few months."
"The court must take action for the lease to move forward," County Judge Mike Ford added.
Putting management in the hands of another company would cut losses for the county.
"There are significant (financial) losses at the nursing home - hundreds of thousands of dollars annually," Ford said.
The nursing home is currently run by Glen Rose Medical Center under the direction of the authority, and Ford said that makes the nursing home unique.
"Not many hospitals are in the nursing home business," he said, adding that leasing the facility would "certainly make a difference in how we (the county) view the hospital's financial condition."
Meanwhile, the court is expected to discuss its intentions to lease the 3,250 seat Texas Amphitheatre and approve advertising for requests for proposals.
The advertising would call on interested parties to submit sealed proposals to take over operation of the facility, which hosts "The Promise" annually, through Dec. 10.
In seeking a potential lessee, the county has outlined a set of proposed restrictions and conditions. The lessee would be required to maintain insurance, maintenance, taxes, utilities and operational expenses; continue to stage The Promise; and sign a contract with of a lease term of at least three years and no more than 10 with the opportunity for renewal.
The county will also consider approving advertising for a retail outlet manager at the expo center.
In other items of business, the county will hear reports from various departments, including the appraisal district, committee on aging, emergency management, emergency management and others.

The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the commissioners courtroom.
