It is so important for everyone, and diabetics especially, to take good care of their feet. Last week Guardian Home Health held a foot screening. Several of our participants took advantage of the screening and claim to be back next month when it is offered again. Check this article and we will let you know when Guardian is planning another foot screening.
Barbara Milner from Texas Neighborhood Services will be at the Citizen’s Center on the 5th of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. She will assist anyone who is low income and meets the guidelines with utility assistance. Barbara will continue the visits until Somervell County’s allotted funds are utilized.
Gary Marks will be at the Citizen’s Center at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 4 to give a program on the forming of a hospital district in Somervell County.
The Citizen’s Center will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16 for Presidents Day.
The Community Resource Network met last week at the Citizen’s Center. There were a total of 49 people in attendance. We agreed to meet at the Citizen’s Center every third Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. The next meeting will be on February 17th. The goal of the group is to educate each other on services and resources for Somervell County residents. Anyone is welcome to attend.
