Last week, we celebrated April birthdays. Pat Oldenburg, Cat Driskell, Ken House, Jim Halbert, Marva McLaughlin, Frank Thomas, and Bill Houle joined us to celebrate their April birthdays. Marva McLaughlin and Ken House won the birthday prizes for being the oldest woman and man with an April birthday. Margie Hartsfield from Stephenville was present to entertain us.
We were happy to see Dick Voss, Gayle and Bob Bullard, Debbie Roth, Rick Chisholm, Doyle Hankins, D’Ann Graves, Bill Houle, Marva McLaughlin, and Doc and Toby Sandlin
visit the Citizen’s Center last week.
The center will get new carpet the week of May 18. We plan to cancel the activities and the noon meal from May 18-22. We will continue to have the home-delivered meal program and the transportation program and staff will be on hand to answer telephone calls. If you have any questions, call 897-2139.
Barbara Milner, from Texas Neighborhood Services, is available to help individuals with energy assistance. She will be at the Citizen’s Center every Tuesday from 9 a.m.- noon. She can be reached at 817-556-3752.
Activities at the Center beginning May 4: “42” and quilting on Monday; utility assistance from 9-noon, needlework, ceramics and hearing screening on Tuesday; “42” tournament, visit from Clark Cole and foot clinic on Wednesday; Tops, David’s grocery shopping and AgriLife on Thursday; bingo with Lisa, quilting, Mother’s Day program and Brookshire’s grocery shopping on Friday.
