Early voting runs through Friday, April 4 at the clerk's office. The actual runoff election day is Tuesday, April 8. Precincts 3 and 6 will vote at the Community Center; Precincts 4 and 5 will vote at the Masonic Lodge; and Precincts 1 and 2 will vote at the same places they voted in the Primary.

Hill College will host its third annual Boots and Suits Ball at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at The Forum in Whitney. The Meridian Group of Alcoholics Anonymous has moved to the Brantley Building in downtown Meridian (116-B Main St. on Hwy 144) and the entry door is between the Allstate office and the Meridian Public Library. The group meets three times a week - on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 11 a.m. Meetings are open to anyone who thinks they may have a problem with alcohol.
