Special to the Reporter

This month’s Community Horticulture Education Session of the Somervell Master Gardeners will be presented by Curt Decker, the natural resources director at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, at the Somervell Citizens Center.

Decker is extremely knowledgeable about things that grow outside or crawl about on the ground. He will be speaking to about what constitutes a ‘good’ bug or a ‘bad’ bug.

Not every bug in your flowerbed or vegetable garden is bad. Each and every one has a role to play and the more you know about the subject, the better off your growing plants will be. He will tell us about bio-control bugs and their role in the environment.
