A breakfast to benefit the Boy Scouts of America’s Longhorn Council will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Family Center. There is no charge, but donations are encouraged to benefit the Scouts and help pay for camp. The community is invited to attend.
A forum for Republican state senatorial candidates will be hosted by the Somervell County Republican Club at the Somervell County Citizens Center, 209 S.W. Barnard, at 6:30 p.m. social time, 7 p.m. meeting. Candidates Brian Birdwell, David Sibley and Darren Yancy will answer submitted questions. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. A trial run of the new Up Against the Wall theater on the southern wall of the Glen Rose/Somervell County Chamber of Commerce will take place at 8:30 p.m. Zorro short features will be shown. Admission is free. Bring your own snacks, coolers, blankets and lawn chairs.

The Georges Creek Cemetery Association's annual meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a dish. Dinner will be under the Tabernacle.
