The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Stampede Two Show and Derby, an American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) approved special event will be Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 at the Somervell County Expo Center.

“We welcome all American Quarter horse owners as well as anyone who has a passion for horses,” said Bill Brewer, AQHA executive vice president. “AQHA shows are fun, and anybody who has ever wanted to get involved with horses or compete at an AQHA show is encourage to attend.”

AQHA shows test the horse’s abilities in different classes, but this special event is for reining enthusiasts.

People who exhibit at an AQHA show earn points that turn into awards or cash at the end of the year. By competing in an AQHA show, exhibitors and horses can also qualify for the AQHA or Youth Association World Championship shows that are the premier events in the equine industry.

Each year, AQHA approves more than 2,700 shows and special events around the globe. For more information about the NRHA Stampede Two Show and Derby, please contact Mark Miller at (817) 980-2371.
