The Lordís Acre Fall Festival was established in the late 1940s as a means of raising funds in small church congregations with limited financial resources. Originally, each farm family was to donate the yield from one acre of their land to the Lordís work - thus the name ďLordís Acre.Ē If the member did not have a farm, they made handicrafts, baked or preserved garden produce, offered services or made other donations. The Lordís Acre Festival is a sale of those donations to produce funds for church projects.
