Special to the Reporter
If you want to identify fossils and be able to tell an echinoid (sea urchin) from a gastropod (snail), head to Dinosaur Valley State Park this Saturday for National Fossil Day.
The event goes from 1 to 4 p.m.
Dr. Phillip Murry, a geology professor at Tarleton State University, will be on hand to help identify any fossils you want to bring.
Kids — and adults, too — can dig for dinosaur bones like a paleontologist or search for a dinosaur skeleton in an ancient rock.
Dinosaur coloring packs are available, too.
