If you are interested in improving your flexibility or even some cardio fitness, be at the center on Wednesday, Oct. 27*, at 10:30 a.m. for a demonstration of Geofit. Geofitness is an exercise program set to music with simple dance steps and can be done to whatever tempo music you prefer. If you can’t make it to the demonstration, but you think you might be interested, call the center and ask for Alice. *Note: the demo was originally scheduled in September, but has been changed to the above date.
Don’t forget to join us on the third Tuesday of every month for our bluegrass and gospel jam session and potluck dinner. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and potluck dinner is served at 7 p.m. Bring your acoustic instruments and your favorite dish.
Believe it or not, it’s getting close to Christmas already. We still have quite a few of the Jess Hardy pendants and bracelets available for sale and they would make a great, unique gift. They are sterling silver in the shape of Texas with a dinosaur inside and are signed and numbered by Jess. The pendants are available in two sizes and all are just $25 each.
It’s time again next week, Friday the 17th, for Swap n Shop. Rent a table for only $5 and sell your crafts, collections or garage sale items from 9 a.m. To 2 p.m. Our staff always finds things they just can’t live without. Call the center and ask for Sandy if you would like to reserve a table or two.
