We were glad to have Grady May’s son and family visit with us last week. Grady’s son is Client and Vickie May with sons Adam and Austin.

Since we had a little bit of ice on Monday, it might be a good time to let everyone know that we abide by the school’s ruling on bad weather days. If the schools are closed for bad weather, we will also be closed.

There will be Gospel singing at the Citizen’s Center at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 from. One Way Gospel Trio and The Baggy Bottom Boys will perform. There will be no charge at the door but we do ask that you bring finger foods. For more information call 254-897-2139.

Tax season is just around the corner. We will have AARP Tax Service available at the

Citizen’s Center starting in February. The exact day will be announced in a later article.

Dina Gregory and Joyce Thomas will be teaching art classes on January 14, 21, and 28

and each Wednesday in February at the Citizen’s Center. If you are interested in taking these classes contact Pam at 897-2139.

Activities at the Center beginning on January 12 are: Wii games and Wal-Mart on Monday; needlework, ceramics and Tops on Tuesday; health screening, art and Dollar General shopping on Wednesday; Tops, art and David’s grocery shopping on Thursday; bingo with Wanda, quilting, Shop & Swap and Brookshire’s grocery shopping on Friday.
