Janet Diane English of Austin, daughter of Maurice and Ginger English of Glen Rose, married James Henry Farmer, son of Jackie D. Farmer of Little Rock, Ark. in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at 9:09 p.m.
Janet was given in marriage by her father. Bridesmaid was Mary Helen Sanders, sister of the bride, and best man was Ernie Sanders, the bride’s brother-in-law.
Judge Walter Maynard, of Glen Rose, assisted Reverand Van Dunson, of First Methodist Church of Las Vegas, with the service at the Little Chapel of the Flowers. A reception was held in the penthouse suite of the Bellagio Hotel.
A congratulatory brunch for all wedding guests was hosted by the bride’s parents on Thursday morning.
Relatives and friends attending the wedding included the bride’s parents, sister and brother-in-law, Blake and JoAnn English of Springfield, Ore., uncle and aunt of the bride, Jan Smith of Hillsboro, aunt of the bride, Susanne Vander Schee of Lewisville, cousin of the bride, Patricia Erwin of Hillsboro, Judge Walter and Brenda Maynard of Glen Rose, Capt. USN (retired) Pete and Connie Wyckoff of Glen Rose, Drs. Bill and Anna Auvenshine of HIllsboro, mother of the groom, also Jeri Hilton of Las Vegas, and Cecelia Starr, of Little Rock, aunts of the groom.
After spending a week in Las Vegas, the couple is at home in Austin.
